Tangible assets

The tangible assets of a company are the goods of material nature that it owns. Here at the Domaine Château Baron de la Voile, we can notice 4 kind of tangible assets:

  • Lands and real estate possessions: the Domaine Château Baron de la Voile owns more than 25 hectares of lands in the Beaujolais area in France in which grapes are growing. In addition to the lands, the vineyard is constituted of several buildings : the place where wines are made, a small museum about ancient wine-making machines, several B&B guestrooms and a wine-tasting cellar.

  • Grapes: the 25 hectares of lands are divided between 8 different terroirs in Beaujolais region producing different wines: Moulin à Vent, Brouilly, Morgon, Régnié, Fleurie, Beaujolais Villages…

  • Wine-making machines: they concern both the agricultural machines used to take care of the maintenance of the vines and the machines used in the process of winemaking after the grapes were collected.

  • Employees: the owner of the Domaine Château Baron de la Voile has 6 permanent employees. There are a production manager, 3 winemaking experts, one accountant and one greengrocers’ manager. In addition, during the grape-harvest season that is lasting from the middle of September to the middle of October, the Domain is employing tens of people because all the harvests are done manually.
